Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereafter “Regulation”), this page describes the methods of processing the personal data of users who consult this website. 

Data controller of the treatment

Types of data processed and purposes of the processing

Surfing data 

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this site acquire, in the course of their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This category of data includes, for example, the IP addresses or domain names of the computers and terminals used by the users, the addresses in URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) notation of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment. Such data, necessary for the use of web services, may also be processed for the purpose of: 

  • obtain statistical information on the use of the services (most visited pages, number of visitors by time slot or daily, geographical areas of origin, etc.); 
  • to check the proper functioning of the services offered. 

    Data communicated by the user

    The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages to the contact addresses published on this website and private messages sent by users to the Owner's profiles/pages on social media, entail the acquisition of the sender's contact data, necessary to respond, as well as all personal data included in the communications.

    For the promotion of the Holder's activities and initiatives, including by sending communications of a promotional nature

    If you provide your consent, the processing of your personal data is also carried out to offer you products and services, including improved or more suitable to your needs, through the sending of promotional material. The processing in question can be carried out only if: 

  • you give your consent for the use of the data also with reference to the communication methods, both traditional and automated, by which the processing takes place; 

  • if you have not objected to the processing and/or if, in case, you have not specifically and separately objected to the sending of communications through traditional means and/or through automated means. 

    Other types of data processed 

    Occasionally WebScience also processes personal data collected through other contact channels, other than the website (e.g. data collected due to the execution of service contracts, at events, etc.). In this case, the purposes of the processing are made explicit at the time of data collection (e.g., in the contract or data collection form).

Legal basis of the treatment

 
The personal data indicated on this page are processed by the Data Controller in order to allow the use of the website and the improvement of its functioning. Any communications sent voluntarily by visitors to the Owner using the contact channels communicated on the website will be treated in accordance with the nature of the communication, in accordance with the legitimate interests of the sender and the Owner. For example, if spontaneous applications are sent, the candidate’s personal data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of evaluating the application. 

Recipients of the data

 
The personal data collected are processed by the owner’s staff, which acts on the basis of specific instructions provided in relation to the purposes and methods of the processing itself. 

DATA STORAGE

The processing of data concerning you is carried out through both electronic and manual means and tools made available to individuals acting under the authority of the Data Controller and authorized and trained for this purpose. Personal data are stored, protected by means of effective and adequate security measures to counter the risks of violation considered by the Data Controller, for the time necessary for the fulfillment of the requests submitted or until any revocation of consent, except in cases where the storage of data is necessary to comply with legal obligations or events occur involving the intervention of the competent Authorities, including in collaboration with third parties/recipients who are entrusted with the information security activities of the Data Controller's data and the task of carrying out any investigations into the causes that led to the event.

Rights of the interested parties

Data subjects have the right to obtain from the Data Controller, in the cases provided for, access to their personal data and the rectification or erasure thereof or the restriction of processing concerning them or to object to processing (Articles 15 et seq. of the Regulations).  
Compatible with the limits established for the processing of personal data concerning you, the rights you are granted allow you to have control of your data at all times.  

Your rights are those of: 

  • access; 
  • rectification; 
  • deletion; 
  • restriction of processing; 
  • objection to processing; 
  • portability 

    These rights can be exercised by submitting a request to the Data Controller, filling in the appropriate form prepared by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data and sending it by registered mail or PEC to the Data Controller (WebScience Srl, viale Jenner 51, IT-20159, Milano - webscience@legalmail.it). Your rights are guaranteed to you without special charges and formalities for requesting their exercise, which is essentially understood to be free of charge.

Right to complain

 
Interested parties who believe that the processing of personal data referred to them through this site occurs in violation of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor, as required by art. 77 of the Regulation itself, or to take appropriate judicial offices (art. 79 of the Regulation).
