Corporate Social Responsibility
Our passion for digital and our shared values drive us to make a positive impact by supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives
Our passion for the digital world and our shared values energize us and drive our efforts to have a positive impact, inside and outside the company, in projects for our clients and in the communities to which we belong.
Driven by this strength we are conducting Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
We kick off each initiative by inviting referrals from external organizations to bring their testimonies to our company, with dedicated internal events, to learn more about their reality and take examples from virtuous behaviors they live. If digital evolution needs or requirements emerge during the exchange to which WebScience can lend a concrete hand, we activate and develop ad hoc projects with subgroups of colleagues interested in lending a hand.
Consistently with our Purpose, we want to create value in a very concrete way, with small but significant improvements to the society in which we live.
ACTIVATION OF CYBER SECURITY TRAINING COURSES AND CERTIFICATIONS FOR INCARCERATED PERSONS, STUDENTS OF LORENZO LENTO.
Lorenzo Lento has been a Cisco Academy trainer for 20 years. Lorenzo is responsible for organizing and delivering courses on computer security to inmates in Italian prisons, to give them a second chance: that of rebuilding their lives, professions, and futures.
The "Education" area of WebScience, being an ICDL test center, in order to test the interest in supplementing Lorenzo's courses with new content and opportunities, has made available for 10 interested prisoners two types of courses and certifications: the more specific "ICDL IT-Security" and the broader ICDL Full Standard Certification (7 exams).
The goal is, through our small but concrete help, to further the re-educational purpose of imprisonment by making available some of our distinctive skills.
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE VIA PONZIO SOUP KITCHEN
Recently, we collaborated with the via Ponzio soup kitchen, a Milanese charity that serves one hot meal a day to needy people in the city. More than 130,000 meals are served each year, thanks to the help of around 250 volunteers.
A team from adesso.it has made its expertise available for the creation of a tailor-made software that allows the management of the volunteers' shifts on the different roles necessary for the daily running of the canteen: the serving of starters, main courses and water, the cleaning of tables and trays, the management of the entrance and exit of the canteen, and others.
